Otters Release 2017 Training Camp Schedule

Erie, Pennsylvania – The Erie Otters Hockey Club announced today that the team will hold their 2017 training camp at the Erie Insurance Arena beginning Tuesday, August 29th, running through Thursday, August 31st, then concluding with the OHL Preseason Showcase at HarborCenter in Buffalo, New York over Labor Day weekend.

The schedule for the week is as follows:

Tuesday, August 29th Wednesday, August 30th 
Players Report to Camp Team Gold Practice 8:30 a.m.
Fitness Testing Team White vs. Team Blue 10:00 a.m.
Veterans Practice – 3:30 p.m. Team White Practice 2:00 p.m.
Inter-Squad Prospect Game – 4:30 p.m. Team Gold vs. Team Blue 4:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 31st  Friday, September 1st 
Team Blue Practice 9:30 a.m. Travel to HarborCenter (Buffalo, NY)
Team Gold vs. Team White 11:00 a.m. Exhibition vs. Peterborough Petes 7:30 p.m.
Inter-Squad Scrimmage 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 2nd Sunday, September 3rd
Exhibition vs. Flint Firebirds 7:30 p.m. Exhibition vs. Kitchener Rangers 7:30 p.m.


All training camp on ice activity at the Erie Insurance Arena will be open to the media and public. A roster for main training camp and the inter-squad prospect game will be released in the near future.


The first ever OHL Preseason Showcase hosted at the HarborCenter in Buffalo, New York begins Friday, September 1st and runs through Sunday, September 3rd, featuring six teams facing each other in exhibition play. The HarborCenter will host three games each day, with the Otters highlighting the evening games with 7:30 starts. Tickets are $20 and include admission to every game that day. Weekend passes can be purchased for $40 and will gain attendees admission to all nine contests throughout the weekend.
